Federer nets Fans on Facebook

Roger Federer has become one of the first sports-stars on facebook, and has managed to notch up over 2 million fans!

Roger (available at www.facebook.com/Federer) has adopted the website, creating an official page, in order to better communicate with his fans. He now has some 2.9millions listed as his fan-base, with each one of them being alerted whenever Roger updates his status, adds a photo or send round his sponsor's latest video.

Facebook is proving to be a powerful tool at connecting with fans, whilst the ability to contact almost 3 million tennis fans is surely of interest to Federer's sponsors and other commercial agents - especially when the source is deemed to be so trustworthy.
