Ontheteegolf.co.uk came to us with very little respect for the SEO profession - they had been duped into paying £250 by an SEO firm who had promised top 5 rankings, but didn't get them anywhere near that. They felt like they had been conned.
We took over the website optimisation in early September 2011 and, having discussed exactly which keyword phrases our client wanted to rank for, we concentrated on making it happen. It made sense to go for local search terms (e.g. 'golf lessons stockport') as most people would be searching for lessons that are close to where they live or work.
